Adobe XD

UI design and interactive prototyping for web and mobile.

Adobe XD is a UI/UX design tool — used to design the screens of a web application or mobile app and create interactive prototypes that simulate how the final product will behave.

Rather than jumping straight into code, we often use XD to map out the interface first: the layout of each screen, how navigation flows, what happens when a user clicks a button. Stakeholders can click through the prototype and give feedback before a single line of code is written.

XD files become the design specification for development — establishing the visual design, interaction patterns, spacing, and typography that the built application follows.

why it matters
01
Validate before building

Interactive prototypes let you test user flows and layouts before committing to code. Changes in design are fast; changes in built software are expensive.

02
Clear development handoff

XD designs specify exactly how the application should look and behave — giving developers a precise reference rather than a vague description.

03
Stakeholder alignment

Clicking through a prototype is far more concrete than reading a requirements document. Approvals happen faster when everyone can see what's being built.

04
Design system foundations

XD's component and style libraries establish the design system — colors, typography, reusable components — that carries through every screen consistently.
